If you have set it to use an FQDN, try the IP instead. If not, then the 112 is not set to register to the correct location. You may also have to enable STUN if you haven't yet.Ĭheck the 3CX Activity Log, to see if there is any sign of a registration. It should still register if the server information is correct and there are no local port conflicts, with other devices, at the remote site. It may not, however, be reliable, and you want reliable on an alarm system. If it is only, something like 1200, or 2400 bps, then it might work. Running any sort of data service over VoIP is going to be tricky. They won't help if you are attempting to use a data modem. Since 3CX does not support remote Fax devices unless over VPN, those settings should be left as default. That said.are you expecting to use these for a connection to a modem on the alarm system? I see you have modified the fax settings. I don't recall having to use the Auth ID, just the User (extension number) and Password. Unfortunately, it cannot be added as a FXS because of the lack of support.Īny ideas on what the problem may be and potential work arounds are extremely appreciated. I am unable to obtain a provisioning template as the device is not support but after reading a dozen posts and articles, it seems like it's entirely possible to use this device. I currently only have the 1 line enabled for right now, I will activate the second once the first is done. #Cisco spa 112 accepting number press as unhook registrationI have attempted to make connection but the device does not show up on the Phones page and on the device it shows the Registration State as failed. I have loaded the latest version of firmware onto the device provided by Cisco. The Dial Plan has not been modified from the default of: I launched the Cisco configuration and entered in the: I have added the two extensions like normal into 3CX. I am working on provisioning a SPA 112 for the purpose of connecting a fire alarm to it. and hit Submit.First off, I completely understand this is not a supported device of 3CX and help with this is greatly appreciated. To help improve security you can now change the "FAX Extension Authentication ID" to something more secure than the Fax extension # and match it up in the Cisco under "Voice", "Line 1", "Subscriber Information", set "Use Auth ID" to Yes and put it under "Auth ID". Verify under "voice" and "information" that Line 1 Status shows as Registered. Scroll down to "Audio Configuration" and set "FAX Enable T38" to "YES". #Cisco spa 112 accepting number press as unhook updateConfigure the device from "quick setup" putting in for Line1 the pbx internal ip for "proxy", for User ID put the extension number for the fax (also have the "FAX Extension Authentication ID" match the extension number for testing, you can update both device and 3cx later), and the "FAX Extension Authentication Password" for "password and choose "submit"ģ. In fact it requires only one change after doing the "quick setup" to work (two changes for the newer 3CX higher security where the Auth ID doesn't match the Extension ID).Ģ. I haven't found a need to modify the dial plan.
